If you don't happen catch what this FH/Peru staff person is saying, let me fill you in. Last week Ryan and a group of staff from Lima made the 10 hour drive straight up to the mountains (3,800meters) to join 4 new FH/Peru staff and visit the 5 communities they will be working in. In this video is one of them, Chachi Baja....well, formally Chachi Baja. They are renaming their community, Neuvo Ollantaytambo, as they have been force to relocate their entire community of 130 families. Currently, they are living in the temporary housing (as seen in the video) provided by the government. The video leads you to a view higher up the mountain, showing where they are moving to in the next few months. FH/Peru is in the process of trying to help them navigate working with the municipality and ministry of education to make this transition quickly and smoothly.
