Urgent Prayer Request

A few days ago Luis Chamorro, FH/Peru's Regional Director in Pucallpa and his wife Anita, were taking a bus at night from Pucallpa to Huanuco when they came upon rocks placed across the road in what is assumed as an attempt to stop the bus in order to arm an assault. The driver swerved to avoid the bus causing the bus to flip around three times and crash down a ravine. Many were injured and some died in the accident. Anita was trapped inside the bus for several hours. She was in critical care for several days, airlifted to Lima and hung on until a few hours ago (Thursday afternoon). Luis has a broken clavicle and several smaller injuries. Please pray for Luis and his four children and one grandchild as they grieve, mourn and try to come to grips with the premature departure of Anita. Pray also for the many logistical decisions Luis needs to make during this grieving time. Luis and Anita are perhaps the most deeply spiritual couple I know so we try to remember to rejoice in her ascension to heaven and Luis to lean even more heavily upon the God he already knows and loves.
