God answered your prayers

We’re back in Seattle now after a very, very full week in Lima. So now, five loads of laundry later, I can sit down and update you all.

Throughout the week we could feel your prayers – thank you! Everything turned out even better than we had hoped. Each one of our prayers were answered and then some.

God provided us with a school for Gabe (called Casuarinas) and an apartment! Wow! We spent the majority of our time visiting apartments and schools in the neighborhood of Santiago de Surco. After all of our visits, we both felt a peace about the school and future home (with a guest room, hint, hint). We’re still a little awestruck at how quickly God took care of our needs.

Toby and Gabe did incredibly well on all flights and were great sports as they were drug around from school visit to school visit and many apartment showings. When asked what they liked about Lima, Gabe says, “The fruit! I loved the granadilla!” and Toby says “There are millions of parks (plazas)!”

Eliana didn’t appear to miss us in the slightest as she had a blast with family. Although she does keep saying: “we missed you, Mommy….we missed you, Daddy” as she wraps her arms around us.

Thank you so much for your faithful prayers, we are amazed at God’s absolute provision of our every need. As I spent time with the Lord this evening, feeling so overwhelmingly loved, I got excited and curious about just how God wants to use our family in Lima. He keeps making it quite clear that Lima is to be our next home.

** Financial update: A couple of supporters are no longer able to give financially at this time and a handful of you have newly joined our financial support team. With these changes, we currently have 83% of our monthly support. We are still in need of $480 a month as well as one time gifts to help with the various set-up costs we will have.

God has continually provided for us during the 9 years we have graciously been a part of a financial support team and we trust that he will provide. Please pray about whether or not you are able to give a one-time gift or monthly commitment of support.
